The City of Chicago, also known as Chi-Town, is a major municipal area in Northern Illinois that is home to many technology companies, such as the Braintree and formerly, MacroMind.

As of 2019, Chicago is the most populous city in the state of Illinois and the 3rd most populous city in the United States.[1]
MacroMind in Chicago[]
On April 16, 1984, MacroMind was first registered as operating out of a small office on 1028 West Wolfram Street in the Lakeview East neighborhood of Chicago.[2] Co-founder Marc Canter stated that what became MacroMind actually started in the living room of his parents' home in Chicago.[3] In 1989, MacroMind relocated to San Francisco, California, where it became Macromedia.[4]
