Fauve xRes 1 is the first release of the xRes image editing application, originally created and developed by Fauve Software before it was acquired by Macromedia.[1]
History[]
After its acquisition of Fauve in 1995, Macromedia briefly continued to support xRes up to version 1.2.1. Macromedia then combined the features of Fauve's Matisse painting software with the xRes high-resolution image editing engine into Macromedia xRes 2.[2]
