Macromedia Authorware 5 Attain box

Macromedia Authorware 5 is the fifth major version of Authorware. It was released by Macromedia solely for Windows on September 15, 1998.[1] A runtime player application was provided for end users on Macintosh systems.[2]

Version 5.2

The initial release of Authorware 5 was branded Authorware 5 Attain,[1] which was co-marketed with Dreamweaver Attain, Attain Objects and Pathware Attain to develop web learning content under the Macromedia Attain Enterprise Learning System.[3][4]

Version 5.1, was released on October 11, 1999. The last update was version 5.2,[2] which was released on November 15, 2000 and also included as part of Macromedia Web Learning Studio.[5]
