Illinois was the home state of MacroMind, which was based in the city of Chicago.

Illinois is the 25th largest state by geographical area in the United States and was the 5th most populous U.S. state when MacroMind was founded in 1984.[1] It has since fallen to the 6th most populous state.[2]
