Macromedia Authorware 2 Professional splash

Macromedia Authorware 2 is the second major version of Authorware, released in 1993. It was the first cross-platform version released simultaneously for Macintosh and Windows. It was also the first version to be released after the merger of Authorware Inc. with MacroMind-Paracomp in 1992, forming Macromedia.[1]

  • Macromedia Authorware Professional 2.0, for commercial use.[2][3]
  • Macromedia Authorware Academic, a non-commercial release of Authorware Star 2.2 for the education market.[4][5]
