Macromedia ColdFusion 5 is the fifth major version of the ColdFusion web application development and server platform, released by Macromedia on June 11, 2001.[1] This is the first version from Macromedia after it had absorbed Allaire Corporation through a merger in March 2001.[2][3]

A working prototype of ColdFusion 5 was first presented at the 2000 Allaire Developer Conference in Washington, D.C. [4]
