Macromedia Flash 2 is the second version of Flash, released by Macromedia on May 8, 1997.[1] It was also included as part of Macromedia's Design in Motion Suite.[2]

Macromedia began public beta testing of Flash 2 on April 1, 1997. New features included support for synchronized audio during playback.[3]
