Macromedia Flash 3 is the third major release of Flash, released by Macromedia on May 12, 1998.[1] It was also included as part of Macromedia's Design in Motion Suite.

Flash 3 included Aftershock, a utility to prepare Flash content for the web, generating any needed HTML and JavaScipt code.[2]
