Macromedia Flash MX 2004 is the seventh major version of Flash that was released by Macromedia on September 10, 2003. It featured the first implementation of ActionScript 2.0. It was also packaged with Macromedia Studio MX 2004 and Macromedia eLearning Suite 2004.

Macromedia Flash MX Professional 2004 was included with premium editions of Studio MX 2004. Among its additional features was support for online forms and video support through the new .FLV file format.
Legacy activation[]
Adobe Systems, which had acquired Macromedia in December 2005,[1] disabled the activation server for legacy Macromedia products on December 15, 2012.[2] Users who wish to activate Flash MX 2004 after this date will need to follow this procedure.
