Macromedia FreeHand 7 is the seventh major version of FreeHand, released in 1996 by Macromedia. It was also bundled into FreeHand Graphics Studio 7.[1]
Development[]
The program was initially in development and entered beta testing as FreeHand 6. However, it was renumbered to 7.0 by release. The final public release was version 7.0.2.
Backwards compatibility[]
FreeHand 7 can open files from Adobe Illustrator 1.1 or later, and Aldus FreeHand 3 or later. An older version of FreeHand is required to convert files from FreeHand 2 or earlier.[2]
