Paracomp was a software publisher that was known for developing early desktop 3D applications.
History[]
In January 1987, 27-year-old venture capitalist William Woodward founded Paracomp on Townsend Street in San Francisco, California,[1][2] near the offices of MacroMind, another software publishing company.[3] In 1991, Paracomp merged with MacroMind to briefly form MacroMind-Paracomp,[4] which merged with Authorware Inc. in the following year to become Macromedia.[5]
