RoboDemo was a series of screen capture and presentation applications developed by eHelp Corporation, and then Macromedia, which rebranded it as Captivate.
Version history[]
RoboDemo originated as Flash Cam, a simple Flash-based screen recording utility released in 2001 by Nexus Concepts. eHelp acquired Flash Cam from Nexus Concepts on May 20, 2002.[1][2]
- RoboDemo 2.0, based on Flash Cam Professional Edition, became available from eHelp in May 2002.[2][3]
- RoboDemo 3.0 was released in Fall 2002.[4]
- RoboDemo 4.0 was released in early 2003.[5]
- RoboDemo 5.0 was released in October 2003. After eHelp was acquired by Macromedia on October 24, 2003,[6] it was rebranded as Macromedia RoboDemo 5.
- Macromedia Captivate was introduced as the successor to RoboDemo in October 2004.[7]
