Simeon Simeonov was chief architect at Allaire Corporation and Macromedia.
Education[]
Simeonov received a I.B. in mathematics from Atlantic College in 1992 and a B.A. in computer science from Macalester College in 1996. He later earned a M.Sc. in computer science from Boston University in 2000.[1]
Career[]
Allaire and Macromedia[]
Simeonov joined Allaire Corporation in June 1996 as part of the early team in Minnesota. He became chief architect and relocated with the company to Boston. Simeonov was a keynote speaker at the 2000 Allaire Developer Conference.[2] In March 2001, Allaire was acquired by Macromedia, where Simeonov became VP of emerging technologies, along with his existing role as chief architect.[3] Simeonov left Macromedia in June 2002.[1]
After Macromedia[]
In March 2002, Simeonov became a technology partner in Polaris Venture Partners as a venture capitalist. He left Polaris in March 2009 and founded startup investor FastIgnite in the following month.[1]
Simeonov founded Swoop in 2011 and serves at its chief technology officer.
