Altsys Virtuoso is a vector graphics editor developed by Altsys Corporation for computers from NeXT. It shares the same codebase as FreeHand, which Altsys licensed to Aldus Corporation for release on Macintosh and Windows. However, Altsys retained the development rights and self-published the NeXTSTEP version.
Product history[]
- Virtuoso 1.0 was released on October 29, 1992 and features cross-compatibility with Aldus FreeHand 3.0.[1]
- Virtuoso 2.0 shares the same feature set as Aldus FreeHand 4.0.
